Performance A to Z celebrated the opening of the Storefront for Art and Architecture at 51 Prince St. in New York City in 1982. The series of performance was coordinated by Arlene Schloss and RL Seltman. Each of the 26 participating artists, performers and musicians was assigned a letter of the alphabet; every evening at 8pm, from Sept. 18 - Oct. 13, for 26 consecutive nights, a different artist carried out a performance in the gallery space or the nearby sidewalk. All performances were free and open to the public.
